More About East Midlands Sub Aqua Club

EMSUB is a small, friendly club based in the East  Midlands. We offer scuba diving opportunities and training, whether complete beginner or trained by another agency.

The club was formed in April 1989 by a group of passionate divers, some of whom are still diving today and are still club members.

We regularly arrange trips away in the UK and abroad, as well as dive days locally.

We welcome and encourage family and friends to join in social events.

East Midlands Sub-Aqua Club (EMSUB) is a branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC)

We meet every Tuesday evening (8:00 pm) at the The Royal Oak in Ockbrook.

To make sure we are not away training or on a trip, please ring beforehand: 07591 655512

We have a pool session on the third Tuesday of every month at Lonsdale Pool, Derby, DE3 9DF, between 9.00pm and 10.00pm for all members to come along and practice skills (arrive about 8:15 p.m. to set up and make the most of pool time!).

New divers are welcome, as are people wanting to come and have a go on a 'Try Dive', family & friends are welcome to join us for a swim.

Just let us know you want to come, by calling or emailing us so we can make sure we have enough dive kit for you.

Although you don’t have to be super-fit you must satisfy certain basic health and fitness requirements and be comfortable in the water. If you have to answer ‘yes’ to any of the questions you must contact a Diver Medical Referee.  More details are available on the BSAC website. If you need to ask any questions about this just drop us a line.
